Purpose & Significance

To raise awareness of life-threatening plastic pollution, and how plastic waste poses a great threat to the environment, in particular the seas. To discuss potential precautions and measures against the threat of plastic pollution.

Generel Information

* The conference was organized by the OzU Sustainability Platform, with Ms. Şeyda Dağdeviren Hill, Environmental and Sustainability Coordinator at TURMEPA, as the guest speaker.
* The talk drew attention to how plastic pollution has reached to an extent that not only threatens marine life but also human life based on examples from different continents.
* Discussions also addressed individual and institutional solutions against plastic waste which threatens both the cycle of life and ecological balance.
